Ethics & Data Privacy in Clinical Research

This workshop focused on educating patient advocates about the vital role of research ethics, how Ethics Committees protect participant rights, and the importance of data confidentiality in clinical trials. Participants learned how ethical oversight and strong data protection build patient trust and ensure safe, transparent research practices.

Breaking Barriers to Clinical Trials

This workshop explored the key barriers that stop patients from participating in clinical trials, such as fear, safety concerns, and lack of awareness. It focused on empowering patient advocates to address these challenges, encourage more participation, and build stronger trust between patients, communities, and research teams. The workshop highlighted real insights, actionable solutions, and the positive role of Patient Advocacy Groups (PAGs) in bridging the gap.
